Inside
the Malt Shovel Tavern you will find a vast array of
breweriana (enamel wall plates and advertisements, brewing
paraphenalia and so forth). On this page you will find some
examples and a bit of the history behind the names of the
breweries, many of which are sadly no longer with us. The
text that accompanies the images is provided with the kind
permission of the
Brewery
History Society and is taken from their publication "A century
of British Brewers 1890-1990" by Norman Barber. (ISBN 1 873966 04 0) |
